Nota biografica

Non risulta che abbia visitato la Gran Bretagna. Comunque, la sua opera era molto conosciuta nell’ambiente artistico inglese grazie specialmente alla promozione di Vittorio e Alberto Grubicy, e alla pubblicazione in inglese dell’importante monografia di Luigi Villari nel 1901.

It does not seem that he visited Great Britain. However, his work was well known in the English artistic environment thanks chiefly to its promotion by Vittore and Alberto Grubicy, and to the publication, in English, of Luigi Villari’s important monograph in 1901.
