Visitò Londra nel 1872, quando fu ospite di Lawrence Alma-Tadema, e strinse un rapporto con il Principe di Galles e la famiglia reale, che gli acquistò diverse opere. I titoli di un gruppo di dipinti esposti a Londra nel 1880-81, suggeriscono che l’artista abbia visitato l’Inghilterra e la Scozia in quel periodo. Nel 1886, il Principe e la Principessa di Galles commissionarono a Corrodi un dipinto dal titolo, The Fisherman’s Ave Maria at Chioggia, da presentare alla Regina Vittoria in occasione del Giubileo Reale del 1887. Nel 1902 la French Gallery allestì una mostra di sue opere scelte, con studi dell’Italia e dell’Oriente, e nel 1903, il Re Edoardo VII gli conferì personalmente una medaglia per le arti e le scienze.

He visited London in 1872, when he was the guest of Lawrence Alma-Tadema, and established a close relationship with the Prince of Wales and the Royal Family, who acquired several of his works. The titles of a group of paintings exhibited in London in 1880-1881 suggest that Corrodi visited England and Scotland in that period. In 1886, the Prince and Princess of Wales commissioned from him a painting entitled The Fisherman’s Ave Maria at Chioggia, to be presented to the Queen for the Royal Jubilee of 1887. In 1902, the French Gallery held a show of selected works, including views of Italy and the Orient, and in 1903, King Edward VII personally awarded him a medal for the arts and sciences.
