Sembra che si sia trasferito in Gran Bretagna a metà degli anni Settanta, fermandosi brevemente nella contea di Devon per poi stabilirsi in Cornovaglia per almeno sei anni, prima di tornare a Roma tra il 1883 e il 1888. La sua produzione d’oltremanica sembra proseguire nella scelta di soggetti di genere e orientalisti, senza subire l’influenza dell’ambiente artistico inglese.

He seems to have moved to Great Britain in the mid 1870s, briefly staying in the county of Devon before settling in Cornwall for at least six years, and then returning to Rome some time between 1883 and 1888. The works he produced in Great Britain seem mostly of genre and orientalist subjects, without any apparent influence from the English artistic environment.
