Nota biografica |
Approdò in Gran Bretagna appena diciottenne.
He began his career in Great Britain when only eighteen. Initially, he earned his living from characteristic urban views, and then received commissions for high society portraits. In London, he met his future wife, the American writer Amelia Rives, and in 1896, he removed to the United States. However, it seems that he continued to frequent London, even if only occasionally, always using the same atelier. He held a one-man show at Dowdeswell’s in 1892, and exhibited fourteen of his works at Obach & Co. in London in 1902, alongside eighteen sculptures of his brother Paul. He exhibited Lawn tennis at the Permanente in Milan in 1890. |
